FAQ
Who is This group for?
This group is for pregnant women who want emotional preparation and support for motherhood. Whether you’re feeling anxious, excited, overwhelmed, or simply wanting proactive support before baby arrives. You do not need to be in crisis to join.
Is This a Therapy Group?
Yes. This is a therapist-led group facilitated by a Marriage & Family Therapist. While it includes education and skill-building, it also provides space for emotional processing, reflection, and support in a confidential setting.
Do I need a diagnosis to join?
No. You do not need a mental health diagnosis. This group is preventative and supportive. If during screening it appears you would benefit from a higher level of care, referrals will be provided.
What If I'm Not "Struggling," Just want to Prepare?
That’s exactly who this group is for. Many women join because they want to strengthen their emotional foundation before birth and reduce the risk of postpartum distress.
How is this different from a prenatal class?
Traditional prenatal classes focus on labor and delivery. This group focuses on identity shifts, attachment, nervous system regulation, partnership dynamics, and postpartum mental health.
How Many Women Are in the Group?
This is an intimate group limited to 8 participants to ensure safety, connection, and meaningful discussion.
When Should I Join?
The group is ideal during the second or third trimester, but pregnant women at any stage are welcome.
